A Brush with Kindness

A Brush with Kindness is a new program focusing on helping eligible homeowners improve the condition of their homes. If you are a low-income homeowner and would like to apply (or just want information), give us a call at 563-382-1802 or Gary's cell 563-380-6023.

A Brush with Kindness project should take one to two days to complete.

What we do:

- carpentry repairs on roofing, siding, flooring, doors and windows
- repair and maintenance of home
- safety and accessibility modifications (ramps, grab bars)

What we don’t do:

- cosmetic repairs
- emergency repairs
- large structural repairs
- building additions

Requirements:

- be a homeowner in Winneshiek County
- be willing to cover the cost of all materials
- repairs match what A BRUSH WITH KINDNESS does

Winneshiek County Habitat for Humanity volunteers recently worked on their first Brush With Kindness summer projects repairing facia and soffits on the John Magner home.
